The Ghost Trees, 2008

Installation in Rosenwald-Wolf Gallery’s Window on Broad, Philadelphia, PA. Cast handmade paper panels with watermarks, illumination, shredded junk mail, 12 ft x 10 ft x 3 ft.

Through the use of watermarks, this installation creates a “haunting” in the paper itself, evoking the immense deforestation that occurs every year to keep up with the demand for paper. The shredded junk mail beneath The Ghost Trees serves to further emphasize this waste.
